Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9-inch baking pan.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
Stir in the oil, eggs, and carrots. Mix until well combined.
Fold in the walnuts.
Pour the batter into the greased pan, smooth the top with a spatula.
Bake for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
While the cake is baking, prepare the icing by beating together the butter and cream cheese until smooth.
Slowly mix in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract.
