Steamed red cabbage
Be sure to try this recipe, I guarantee you won't be disappointed! This classic Hungarian recipe can be a wonderful accompaniment to meat dishes, and the purple cabbage is a real vitamin bomb on cold winter days.
Ingredients
- 1 Size of cabbage
- 1 Head of onion
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Spicy paprika
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1⁄4 teaspoon Cloves

Directions
Wash the cabbage thoroughly and cut into thin slices. Make sure that the slices are not too thick, as this will allow them to steam more quickly and evenly.
Heat the olive oil in a large pan and add the finely chopped onion. Sauté until translucent.
Add the cabbage and stir constantly. This is important to avoid burning the cabbage.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, paprika, ground cumin and add apple cider vinegar and cloves. Seasoning is an important part of the recipe, don't skimp!
Continue cooking over low heat until the cabbage is tender but still slightly crisp. This will take about 20-30 minutes.
