Pasta with tuna and tomato sauce

This simple but tasty recipe for pasta with tuna, tomato sauce and olives became one of my favorites during my holiday in Italy.

  • 400 g pasta Added to
  • 2 cans tuna Added to
  • 1 spoon olive oil Added to
  • 1 pcs onion Added to
  • 2 cloves garlic Added to
  • 400 g Canned tomatoes Added to
  • Pinch of red pepper Added to
  • salt and black pepper to taste Added to
  • 50 g black olives Added to

1. Step

Start by boiling the pasta according to the package instructions. This is a very important step because the pasta should be al dente.

2. Step

Put the olive oil in a saucepan and add the finely chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onions are glassy.

3. Step

Then add the tuna and leave it in the pan for about 5 minutes. Add the tomatoes, a pinch of red pepper, the olives and season with salt and black pepper.

4. Step

Let the tomato sauce simmer for about 10 minutes to let all the flavours mix nicely.
