Homemade decorated Christmas cookies recipe

Ingredients
- 3 egg
- 180 g sugar
- 150 g butter
- 470 g self-rising flour
- 1⁄2 g vanilla essence
- 8 g baking soda
- red dye
- 30 g bitter cocoa
- hazelnut spreadable cream
- milk cream

Directions
In a bowl, break the eggs and beat them lightly. Add the sugar and continue mixing.
Add the softened butter and mix it well with the dough. Add the baking powder and vanilla extract. Then, add the flour slowly until obtaining a firm dough.
Divide the dough into 3 equal parts. Add the red colouring to one part and work the mixture until it has completely absorbed the colour. Combine another part with the cocoa and work the dough until it has been completely absorbed. The third part will be classic white.
Wrap the loaves in plastic wrap and let them rest in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Take one loaf at a time and roll it out with a rolling pin until obtaining a sheet about half a centimetre thick.

Once all the shapes have been made, bake the biscuits at 180°C for 20 minutes.
Let it cool and decorate it with royal icing or melted chocolate. Enjoy!
