Homemade Caramel Coated Popcorn

- 1⁄2 Cup of popcorn kernels
- 1⁄2 Cup of butter
- 1 Cup of brown sugar
- 1⁄4 Cup of corn syrup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda

Preheat the oven to 250°F (120°C).
Pop the popcorn kernels according to the instructions on the package, then transfer them to a large mixing bowl.
In a saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
Stir in the brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt until the mixture is well combined.
Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for about five minutes, stirring occasionally.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the baking soda until the mixture is light and foamy.
