- 1 lb fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 4 tablespoon butter
- 2 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 2 cups chicken or vegetable broth
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1⁄4 Cup chopped fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)

1. Step
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.

Add the sliced mushrooms and chopped onion, and cook until the vegetables are soft.
