1. Step

In a microwave-safe bowl, break the two large eggs.

2. Step

Add milk, salt and pepper to the bowl. Optionally, you can add your preferred cheese, herbs or diced vegetables.

Using a fork or a whisk, beat the mixture until it is well blended.

4. Step

Put the unsalted butter on top of the mixture.

5. Step

Place the bowl in the microwave and set it at medium-high. Microwave the eggs for 1 minute.

6. Step

After 1 minute, take out the bowl (be careful, it could be hot) and stir the semi-cooked eggs using a fork. We want to achieve a nice, even cooking.

7. Step

Put the bowl back in the microwave and cook for another 30 to 45 seconds (varies depending on the microwave)

8. Step

Stir again so that any liquidy, uncooked part mixes with the hotter, more cooked parts.

9. Step

Serve immediately while the eggs are hot and creamy. You can serve your scrambled eggs with some toast, bacon, or eat them on their own.
