Minced meat and potatoes
Minced meat fries are everyone's favourite, and I'm no exception. For a long time, I searched for the perfect recipe, one that was so delicious and filling that my family would want it again and again. Finally I found it and now I'm sharing it with you.
Ingredients
- 1 kg potato
- 500 g Minced meat (beef, pork or mixed)
- 1 Head onion
- 2 clove garlic
- 250 ml Passata (tomatoes blended until smooth)
- Salt, pepper

Directions
Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. Watch the size, because if you cut them too big, they will take longer to cook - 1-1.5 cm is ideal. Finely chop the onion and garlic.
Heat the oil in a pan and add the onion. Fry until translucent. Be careful not to burn it, as it will make the dish bitter.
Add the minced meat and cook over a medium heat until nicely browned. Remember to stir regularly to ensure that all sides are cooked evenly.
When the meat is nicely browned, add the passata and garlic and season with salt and pepper to taste. Then add the potatoes.
Simmer on low heat, covered, for 20-25 minutes until the potatoes are tender. If you find it too dry, you can add a few tablespoons of water to make up the liquid.
You can sprinkle with grated cheese when serving, the kids love it!
