Mexican dry rub

  • 3 tablespoon brown sugar Added to
  • 2 teaspoon salt Added to
  • 3 teaspoon smoked paprika powder Added to
  • 1 teaspoon cumin Added to
  • 1 teaspoon oregano Added to
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder Added to
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder Added to
  • 12 teaspoon ground black pepper Added to

1. Step

Put all the ingredients for the dry rub into a jar, close the lid and shake well.

2. Step

Pat dry the meat and rub from all sides with mustard.

3. Step

Apply the seasoning and rub it well. Cover with cling film and chill the roast for 4 - 12 hours. Preheat your oven to 110°C temperature. Fill a roasting tray with hot water, add a roasting rack and place the meat on top. Put into the hot oven and cook for approximately 12 hours.

4. Step

Wrap in aluminium foil and leave to rest for one hour.

5. Step

Pull the meat and serve. The pulled beef is perfect for Burritos, Fajitas and Tacos. Enjoy!
