Homemade French Chocolate Croissant

- 400 g bread flour
- 50 g sugar
- 4 g salt
- 4 g bread improver
- 50 g butter
- 1 tablespoon milk powder
- 7 g yeast
- 1 egg
- 160 ml water
Filling
- 250 g butter
- 200 g chocolate chips

Directions
Preheat oven to 180 C. Mix all the pastry ingredients and knead with your hands. Let sit.

Flatten into a square. Place a square of butter for the filling into the middle. Fold the dough over it. Wrap in plastic and chill.

Dust with flour and roll out. Fold into thirds, then again from the other side. Wrap in plastic and chill again.

Melt the chocolate chips and using an icing bag, make thin strips. Let them cool.

Roll out the dough. Cut it into even rectangles, one for each chocolate strip you made. Place a strip on the edge of each dough rectangle, and roll it up.

Let sit. Brush with egg wash and bake for 20-25 minutes. Enjoy!
