1. Step

Preheat the oven to 180°C. Rinse the duck and pat dry with a paper towel.

2. Step

Rub the duck with salt and lard, make sure the lard is evenly spread.

3. Step

Place the duck on the rack over the pan and bake for 30 minutes.

4. Step

Prepare the marinade by mixing orange juice, honey, and orange segments.

5. Step

After 30 minutes of baking, baste the duck with the marinade and bake for an additional hour and a half, basting the duck with the marinade every 15 minutes.

6. Step

The duck is ready when its skin is golden and the meat is slightly crispy. Serve with mashed potatoes and orange slices.
