Chicken breast with cheese
Chicken breast with cheese can be a real family favourite, and despite its simple preparation, it is a very filling and tasty dish. I personally love crispy chicken covered in toasted cheese and this recipe did not disappoint. I've made it several times and it's always a big hit.
Ingredients
- 4 pc chicken breast
- 3 clove garlic
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 200 g Grated cheese (emmental, trappista or mozzarella - you can mix the cheeses)
- Salt, pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon red peppers
- 1 tablespoon thyme

Directions
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees. This is an important step, because if you bake the chicken in a cold oven, the texture will be chewy and tough.
Wash the chicken breasts and pat dry with paper towels. Then season with salt and pepper and sprinkle both sides with paprika and thyme.
Grease a baking pan with olive oil and crush the garlic cloves. Note that you should also use the garlic as it really brings out the flavour of the chicken.
Place the chicken breasts on the baking sheet and sprinkle with the grated cheese. I often use two types of cheese, because mozzarella has a softer texture and emmental gives the dish a piquant flavour.
Bake the chickens in the oven for about 30 minutes. Be careful not to overdry the meat, the baking time should be just long enough to brown the cheese and brown the chicken inside.
