Directions
In a large mixing bowl, combine chicken breast, ginger paste, garlic paste, salt, chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, lemon, and yogurt. Mix thoroughly, making sure that the chicken is coated with the spices. Cover the mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Thread the chicken cubes onto skewers about 5 to 6 pieces per skewer. Place the skewers on a baking sheet and bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until the chicken is golden brown.
While the chicken is baking, heat a frying pan over medium heat, add vegetable oil. Once the oil is hot, add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
Add garlic to the frying pan. Cook and stir for about 1 minute.
Add cumin powder, garam masala, paprika and cayenne pepper to the frying pan. Stir and cook for about 30 seconds to a minute or until the spices are fragrant.
Add crushed tomatoes and let it simmer for 5 to 10 minutes or until the sauce has thickened.
Add heavy cream to the frying pan, bring it to a simmer, and lower the heat. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring.
Add the cooked chicken. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat the chicken with the sauce.
Season the dish with salt and pepper. Garnish it with fresh chopped cilantro.
