Old-Fashioned Italian Rissoles Baked in Oven

These oven-baked Rissoles combine ground meat with a selection of herbs and spices, then baking them to golden-brown perfection. Unlike the traditional method of frying, baking reduces the amount of oil, making this dish healthier. Served with your favorite sides, these rissoles will turn a normal dinner into a special one!

1. Step

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Celsius and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

2. Step

In a large bowl, mix together ground beef, onion, garlic, bread crumbs, egg, parsley, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.

3. Step

Make sure everything is thoroughly mixed. Roll the mixture into round patties, about the size of golf balls.

4. Step

Arrange the rissoles on the prepared baking tray.

5. Step

Slightly flatten each rissole with the back of a spoon, then lightly brush the top of each one with vegetable oil. This will give your rissoles a nice golden color.

6. Step

Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes, or until the rissoles are well browned, and the juices run clear.

7. Step

Once cooked, remove from the oven and allow them to rest for a couple of minutes.

8. Step

Serve warm with your desired side salads or veggies.
