Ultimate Homemade Soft & Crusty Sandwich Rolls
Sandwich rolls are perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. With this recipe, you get fresh, crusty rolls that are soft on the inside and full of flavorful goodness. Make these for your next picnic, BBQ, or family gathering.
Ingredients
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour
- 2 tbls of active dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 Cup of warm water
- 1 tablespoon of sugar
- 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
- 1 Egg white
- 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds (optional)

Directions
In a large bowl mix together the flour, yeast, and salt. Set aside.
In a separate bowl, mix together the warm water, sugar, and oil until well integrated.
Gradually add the water mixture to the flour mixture, stirring constantly until a dough forms.
Turn dough out onto a floured surface and knead until elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel and let rise until doubled in size, about one hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
After the dough has risen, divide into 6 equal pieces and shape each piece into a roll.
Place rolls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Brush the tops of the rolls with the beaten egg white and sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired.
Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until golden brown.
Let the rolls cool on wire racks before serving.
