Slow Roasted Pork Shoulder
This recipe is one of the most traditional methods of preparing pork meat. Slow roasting in the oven gives the meat the chance to become tender and juicy, enriching it with great and spicy flavors. The meat is best consumed with sauce, mashed potatoes or grilled vegetables. If you like to experiment with tastes, add other spices to the meat marinade according to your liking.
Ingredients
Meat
- 1 a piece pork shoulder
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoon olive oil
Sauce
- 1 a piece onion
- 1 a piece carrot
- 1 a piece parsley
- 1 celery
- 2 a piece tomatoes
- 2 a piece paprika
- 1 teaspoon ground paprika
- 500 ml broth

Directions
Preheat the oven to 150 degrees and clean and dry the pork shoulder.
Rub the meat with salt, spices and chopped garlic. Then mix the meat in olive oil.
Put the meat in the oven for 1 hour without a lid.
In the meantime, prepare the vegetables for the sauce. Chop the onion, carrot, parsley, celery, tomatoes, and peppers.
After an hour, take the meat out of the oven and add chopped vegetables and ground pepper. Also add broth.
Cover and put back in the oven for 2 hours. During this time, baste the meat several times with broth to avoid burning.
After time has passed, take the meat out of the oven. The meat should be very tender. Strain the sauce and serve it with the meat.
