Quick and tasty Shrimp Pot Stickers
This easy recipe teaches how to make the best homemade Shrimp Pot Stickers. Crunchy, juicy and delicious, these dumplings are a must!
Ingredients
Filling
- 150 g shrimps
- 35 g chopped spring onion
- 50 g finely chopped cabbage
- 1 clove garlic
- 1⁄2 thumb sized ginger
- 1⁄2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1⁄2 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon maize starch
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1⁄2 teaspoon sugar
Dipping Sauce
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
Others
- 15 dumpling wrappers
- 60 ml hot water

Directions
Prepare the ingredients for the pot stickers. Begin by separating six shrimps and cutting them into chunks. Place the shrimp chunks in a bowl.

Using a cleaver, mince the remaining shrimp into a paste. Add the shrimp paste into the bowl with the other filling ingredients. Mix everything well.

Take a dumpling wrapper and place it on your palm. Lightly spray it with water to moisten the surface. Spoon approximately 1 heaped teaspoon of the filling onto the centre of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper together, pleat, and pinch to seal the edges.

Place the filled pot sticker on a baking tray lined with a baking sheet. Repeat the process with the remaining wrappers and filling.

Heat a pan over medium heat and add some oil. Once the pan is hot, carefully place the raw pot stickers in the pan. Cook for a few minutes until the bottom of the pot stickers starts to turn golden brown.

Pour hot water into the pan and immediately cover it with a lid. Allow the pot stickers to cook until the water evaporates and the bottom of the pot stickers becomes golden brown.
