Indian Mint & Coriander Green Chutney
This refreshing Mint Chutney is a delightful mixture of fresh mint, coriander, and spicy green chili, made tangy and bright with fresh lemon juice. Perfect as a side dish for Indian meals or as a dip for samosa or pakora. This recipe serves four and is ready in around 15 minutes.
Ingredients
- 2 cups fresh mint leaves
- 1 Cup fresh coriander leaves
- 2 green chilies
- Half of a medium-sized onion
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- juice from one lemon
- 1⁄2 Cup of water

Directions
Rinse the mint and coriander leaves thoroughly under running water to remove any grit or dirt.
Roughly chop the onion and green chilies.
Combine the mint leaves, coriander leaves, chopped onion, chopped green chilies, salt, sugar, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor.
Blend the ingredients to a coarse paste, gradually adding water until the desired consistency is achieved.
Taste and adjust the seasoning if necessary. Add more lemon juice for extra tanginess, if preferred.
Your Mint Chutney is now ready to serve! Store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator until needed.
