How to Make The Best Caramelized Onions

Ingredients
- 2 yellow or sweet" onions (do not use white or red onions)
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄4 Cup water

Directions
Carefully cut onions into rings.
Coat the bottom of a skillet with olive oil and place over medium high heat.
Separate rings and place into skillet for 15 minutes.
Toss onions to coat and reduce heat to medium low, add 2 tbsp water, cover onions and cook for 15 minutes.Repeat this process again twice omitting the water on the final 15 minutes cook time as the water will release during the final caramelization.
Top your favorite burger, meatloaf or chicken sandwich or potatoes. The possibilities are endless!
