How to make Best Caterpillar Birthday Cake
The caterpillar cake is a fun, delicious, and adorable cake, perfect for kids' parties or themed events. Ingredients
For the Cake:
- 2 cups of all-purpose flour

- 3⁄4 Cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 11⁄2 teaspoons of baking powder
- 11⁄2 teaspoons of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 Cup of milk
- 1⁄2 Cup of vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
- 1 Cup of boiling water
For the Frosting:
- 1 Cup of unsalted butter, softened
- 31⁄2 cups of powdered sugar
- 1⁄2 Cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 teaspoons of Vanilla Extract
- 31⁄2 tbls of milk

Directions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 6-inch cake rounds and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Mix until smooth. Gradually add the boiling water and mix until well combined.
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool completely before frosting.
For the frosting, beat the butter until light and fluffy. Gradually add the powdered sugar and cocoa, followed by the salt, vanilla, and milk. Beat until smooth.
To assemble the cake, level the cakes if needed. Spread a layer of frosting between each layer, then frost the outside of the cake.
