How to make Authentic Pad Thai Noodles
Pad Thai is a popular dish from Thailand. It is made with stir-fried noodles and a delicious combination of ingredients that create a perfect balance of flavors. This dish is known for its tangy, slightly sweet, and savory taste.
Ingredients
For the noodles:
- 8 ounces rice noodles
- 2 tbls vegetable oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 eggs, lightly beaten
- 8 ounces shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 Cup bean sprouts
- 1⁄4 Cup Crushed peanuts
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
For the sauce:
- 3 tbls fish sauce
- 2 tbls Tamarind paste
- 2 tbls sugar
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon lime juice

Directions
Prepare the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a small bowl, whisk together the fish sauce, tamarind paste, sugar, soy sauce, and lime juice to make the sauce. Set aside.
Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Push the garlic to one side of the skillet and pour the beaten eggs onto the other side. Scramble the eggs, then mix them with the garlic.
Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until they turn pink and are cooked through.
Add the noodles to skillet, followed by the sauce. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated in the sauce.
Add the bean sprouts and green onions to the skillet. Stir-fry for a few more minutes until sprouts are slightly softened.
Remove the skillet from heat and garnish with crushed peanuts and fresh cilantro.
