How to cook Crispy Homemade Crumbed Fish

Ingredients
- 4 boneless fish fillets (white fish preferably, like cod or haddock)
- 1 Cup flour
- 2 large eggs
- 11⁄2 cups breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Lemon wedges and parsley (optional, for serving)

Ensure the fish fillets are completely dry. Lightly season both sides of each fillet with salt, pepper, and paprika.
Place the flour on a plate, beat the eggs in a shallow bowl and spread the breadcrumbs on another separate plate.
Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium heat.
Dredge each fillet first in the flour, shaking off any excess, then dip it in the egg, and finally coat it with the breadcrumbs.
Fry the coated fish fillets in the hot oil, turning them over once, until they are golden brown on both sides and the fish flakes easily with a fork. This will generally take about 5 minutes on each side.
Use a slotted spoon to transfer the cooked fish onto paper towels to drain any excess oil.
