Homemade Creamy Spaghetti Marinara White Wine Sauce

Ingredients
- 200 gms spaghetti
- 1 Cup marinara sauce
- 1 Cup heavy cream
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1⁄2 Cup white wine (Optional)
- 1⁄2 Cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- salt to taste
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish
- Red chili flakes (optional)

Directions
Boil the spaghetti in salted water according to the package instructions and keep it aside.
In a large pan, heat olive oil and saute onion and garlic until they are soft and fragrant.
Pour in the white wine and allow it to reduce to half.
Add the marinara sauce and stir well, allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes.
Pour in the heavy cream, and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer. Season it with salt and black pepper.
Add the cooked spaghetti into the sauce and mix well ensuring every strand of spaghetti is coated with the sauce.
Add the grated parmesan cheese and mix until it's melted and well combined.
Serve hot, with a sprinkle of red chili flakes (if you like it spicy) and freshly torn basil leaves for garnish.
