Homemade Breakfast Gluten Free Sausage Rolls
These Gluten-Free Sausage Rolls are a delightful appetizer or snack option that could easily become a family favorite. They are hearty, tasty, and wrapped in a deliciously flaky gluten-free puff pastry. Perfect for a crowd and absolutely wonderful for someone following a gluten-free diet.
Ingredients
For Sausage Filling:
- 500 gms gluten-free sausage
- 1 onion (finely chopped)
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- salt and pepper to taste
For Pastry:
- 2 letters gluten-free puff pastry (thawed)
- 1 egg (lightly beaten)
- Sesame seeds for topping (optional)

Directions
Preheat the oven to 200°C (180°C fan-forced). Line two baking trays with baking paper.
In a large bowl, combine the sausage, chopped onion, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
Lay the puff pastry sheets on a clean, dry surface. Cut each sheet in half.
Divide the sausage mixture into four equal portions. Place each portion in a line in the middle of each pastry sheet half.
Roll the pastry over the sausage mixture, then cut each roll into 4 to make bite-size sausage rolls. Press down on the ends to seal.
Place the sausage rolls onto the lined baking trays. Brush the tops with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds, if using.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the pastry is golden and crisp.
Let the sausage rolls cool slightly, then serve warm with your favorite sauce or dipping. Enjoy!
