Easy Homemade Soup Dumplings
How to make Chinese dumplings with soup!
Ingredients
Soup
- 1 package unflavored gelatin
- 11⁄2 Cup chicken stock
- 1 spring onion
- 1 a piece ginger
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
Dough
- 1 Cup All Purpose Flour
- 1⁄2 Cup hot water
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 pinch salt
Filling
- 1⁄2 lb ground pork
- 2 spring onion
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1⁄4 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sake

Directions
To make the soup, chop up the green onion and ginger. Add to a pot with the stock and soy sauce. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat. Let simmer for 10 minutes, then let cool.

Combine all the dough ingredients, and knead by hand for 10 minutes. Wrap in plastic and let sit for 30 minutes.

For the filling, mince the green onions, garlic, and ginger, and add to the meat. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix by hand. Cover and keep in the fridge till needed.

Remove the onion and ginger from the cooked broth. Add gelatin and stir till dissolved. Put in the fridge for 30-40 minutes.
Knead the dough a bit more. Then dust with cornstarch and separate into small 10g pieces. Flatten each piece out into a thin round shape.

Add the soup gelatin to the meat and mix well. Put 1 tbsp of filling on each wrapper, pinch and pleat the edges with your fingers, and twist at the end to seal.

Steam your filled dumplings for 8 minutes. Then serve with dipping sauce and enjoy!
