Directions

120 min.
1. Step

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. It is important that the oven is completely preheated before introducing the mixture so that the cake rises properly.

2. Step

Beat the butter with the sugar until you obtain a light and fluffy cream. Then add the eggs one at a time, making sure to integrate each one well before adding the next. A common mistake is to add all the eggs together, which can curdle the mixture.

3. Step

Add the coffee to the mixture. Then, incorporate the flour little by little, making wrapping movements to prevent the cake from becoming lumpy.

4. Step

Pour the mixture into a previously greased mold and bake it for 30-40 minutes. A trick to know if it is ready is to insert a toothpick in the cake, if it comes out clean, it is ready.

5. Step

While the cake is baking, get ready to make the filling and topping. Mix the powdered sugar, coffee powder and milk. Make sure the coffee is well dissolved to avoid lumps. Then add the butter and continue mixing until you obtain a uniform cream.

6. Step

Once the cake is ready and has cooled, cut it in half to fill it with the coffee cream. Also cover the top and sides.
