Directions
Heat water to a boil in a pot. Meanwhile, wash and slice carrots, parsley and celery. Roughly dice the onions and garlic.
When the water begins to boil, add all the vegetables, bay leaves and peppercorns. Lower the heat, and cook the broth over low heat for about 30 minutes. In the meantime, uncover the pot several times and stir so that the ingredients do not burn.
After this time, flip the pot from the heat. Add salt and stir gently. Let the broth and vegetables rest for another 20 minutes.
After this time, strain the broth through a strainer. The valuable concentrate is ready to use. You can use it right away, or cool it and store it in the refrigerator for up to 5 days or freeze it.
