Classic Healthy Homemade Tartar Sauce
This easy-to-make Homemade Tartar Sauce recipe offers a tangy and creamy accompaniment to your favorite fish and chips or seafood dishes. With a blend of mayonnaise, pickles and seasonings, you’ll never opt for store-bought again. Not only does it taste leagues better, its freshness brings out the flavor of your seafood dishes like never before.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tbls finely chopped dill pickles
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh dill
- 1 tablespoon finely chopped capers
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1⁄2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce
- Salt and ground black pepper to taste

In a bowl, combine the mayonnaise and lemon juice. Stir them together until they're well mixed.
Add in the finely chopped dill pickles, fresh dill and capers. Stir again to incorporate.
Stir in the Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Mix it all through until it's well combined.
Add salt and ground black pepper, to suit your personal taste.
Once all the ingredients are combined, refrigerate the tartar sauce for at least an hour before using, to let the flavors meld together. It's best if left overnight, but an hour will suffice in a pinch. Serve with your favorite seafood dishes.
