Chicken on apples
Recipe for a delicious roast chicken on apples, which is suitable for the weekend table.
Ingredients
- 1 pcs whole chicken
- 3 pcs apples
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 pcs The Onion
- Spices to taste
- olive oil
- 100 ml white wine
- A little water
- 1 tablespoon butter

Directions
Wash the chicken thoroughly and season with salt. I use salt and black pepper, but you can use other spices as well.
Wash, peel, core and slice the apples. Peel and crush the garlic. Peel and chop the onion.
Brush the chicken with olive oil.
Melt the butter in a pan, add the onion and sauté it for a few minutes, then add the garlic, apples and sauté everything together.
Add the chicken to the pot and sear it on each side. Then pour in the white wine and let it boil.
Finally, add water, cover the baking dish and bake the chicken in the oven at 220 degrees for about an hour until the meat is tender and the crust is crispy. During baking, baste the meat a couple of times with the juices from the fat.
Serve it with baked potatoes or any side dish.
