Celery salad with pear

I'm a big fan of celery - it has a unique, slightly spicy flavor that adds character to many different dishes. I like it best raw, in salads - it's crunchy and refreshing. In my case, this recipe is special because I associate it with autumn, when celery and pears are at their most beautiful. The pear here adds a delicate sweetness that blends well with the other ingredients. I definitely recommend this recipe for any season!

Directions

30 min.
1. Step

First, wash and peel the celery. Then cut it into thin slices, and then into bars or cubes. Using a special grater or food processor, you can get even better results and reduce preparation time.

2. Step

Wash, peel and cut the pears into thin slices. I recommend using a vegetable sharpener for this, if you have one. Treat them with lemon juice to keep them from turning dark.

3. Step

Wash parsley, dry and finely chop.

4. Step

Roast the walnuts in a dry skillet, wait for them to cool, and then coarsely chop them.

5. Step

Now is the time to mix all the ingredients. Put the celery, pears, chopped parsley and nuts in a bowl.

6. Step

Drizzle the whole thing with olive oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, mix gently.

7. Step

The salad tastes best about 30 minutes after preparation, when all the ingredients have melded, but I recommend serving it right after preparation, when the celery and pear are still crunchy.
