1. Step

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a standard cupcake tin with paper cupcake forms.

2. Step

Combine the flour, sugar, cocoa, baking soda, and salt until well combined.

3. Step

Add the egg, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the batter. Mix well till incorporated.

4. Step

Pour the batter into the cupcake tin.

Place the cupcake tin in the preheated oven and bake until toothpick inserted into the center of a cupcake comes out clean.

Remove the cupcakes from the oven and let them cool in the tin for 5 minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

Using a stand mixer, beat butter until smooth. Gradually add the powdered sugar, cocoa powder, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat and continue to beat for 4 minutes.

Once the cupcakes have cooled completely, frost each cupcake using a piping bag or spatula.
