Baked Sweet & Spicy Sticky Chicken

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 1 Cup With
- 1⁄2 Cup soy sauce
- 4 tbls apple cider vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- salt to taste
- 1⁄2 Cup Sesame seeds (optional)

Directions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Clean and pat dry the whole chicken.
In a bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, minced garlic, ground ginger, black pepper, onion powder, paprika, and salt.
Heat olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and sear it until golden brown on each side.
After searing, place the chicken in a roasting pan and generously pour the sauce over the chicken.
Roast the chicken in the preheated oven for about 1 hour and 15 minutes, or until the juices run clear. Baste the chicken every 15 minutes with its own juices to keep it moist and flavorful.
Once the chicken is done, sprinkle sesame seeds on top if you wish, allow it to rest for 10 minutes and then carve.
Serve the sticky chicken with steamed rice or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
