1. Step

Start by combining the all-purpose flour, whole meal flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl. Sift them well to avoid any lumps. One tip I learned from my years of pancake making is that you should not over mix the batter. This will keep your flapjacks tender and light.

Next, in another bowl, whisk together the buttermilk and eggs until they blend well. Now, add the melted butter to this mix in a steady stream while whisking constantly to ensure the butter gets incorporated smoothly.
