Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 small red onion, finely diced
- 1 small tomato, diced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 small jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced (optional)
- 1 tablespoon fresh cilantro. chopped
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Cut the avocado lengthwise. Remove the pit and move the flesh into a bowl.
Mash the avocado with a fork until it reaches your desired consistency. Some prefer it smooth, while others like it chunky.
Add the diced onion, tomato, minced garlic, minced jalapeno pepper (if using), and chopped cilantro to the mashed avocado. Mix well to combine.
