Simple Homemade Pork Meatball Rissoles
Pork rissoles are a delicious, easy-to-make dish that are perfect for a family dinner or a special occasion. They are basically pork meatballs, slightly spiced and breaded. These crispy and tasty delights are sure to be a hit at your dinner table.
Ingredients
- 500 gms minced pork
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 Cup breadcrumbs
- 1 teaspoon dried herbs (such as parsley, oregano and thyme)
- salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbls olive oil
- 1⁄2 Cup flour (for coating)

Directions
In a large bowl, mix together the minced pork, garlic, onion, and dried herbs. Season with salt and pepper.
Add the beaten egg to the mixture. Mix well so that everything is evenly combined.
Using your hands, form the mixture into balls, roughly the size of a golf ball.
Place the breadcrumbs and the flour in two separate bowls. Roll each rissole first in the flour, then in the beaten egg, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Make sure they are fully coated.
In a frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the rissoles and fry until they are golden brown and cooked through. This should take about 15-20 minutes.
Once cooked, place them on some paper towel to drain off any excess oil.
Serve your pork rissoles hot, with some mashed potatoes and green beans on the side for a balanced, delicious meal.
