Nutella Christmas tree
The imminent joy of Christmas makes us get creative in the kitchen! I experimented in my kitchen and conjured up a dreamy \Nutella Christmas tree\. This sweet treat is not only a hit with the little ones, but also with the grown-ups. It's easy to make, looks fantastic and tastes heavenly!
Ingredients
- 2 Pack Ready-made puff pastry
- 1 Cup Nutella
- 1 beaten Egg (to coat)
- Powdered sugar for decorating

Directions
To bake the Nutella Christmas tree, first preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Before you start, allow the Nutella to come to room temperature - it is easier to spread. Then place a sheet of puff pastry on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
Now spread the Nutella evenly over the puff pastry. However, leave a small border free. Tip: A silicone spatula works very well for this.
Then place the second sheet of puff pastry on top and press the edges together lightly.
Now cut the dough into the shape of a Christmas tree, using the two bottom corners of the puff pastry as the base of the tree. Then cut strips parallel to the 'tree line' to represent the 'branches' of the tree.
Now carefully twist the branches to create a spiral that gives the tree depth and a three-dimensional shape.
Now carefully brush the dough with the beaten egg - this will give the tree a nice color later.
Then bake the tree in the preheated oven for approx. 20-25 minutes or until it is golden brown. Keep a close eye on the tree, every oven is different!
Leave the Nutella Christmas tree to cool slightly and sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving.
