Directions

150 min.
1. Step

Make the cookie dough in a large bowl, and mix the butter, sugar and cream cheese until fluffy.

2. Step

Add the egg, egg yolks, vanilla and almond extract and mix well.

3. Step

Add the salt, then sift the flour, baking powder and tartar cream into the bowl and fold in a little flour. Beat until incorporated.

4. Step

Form the dough into a flat disk and wrap it tightly in plastic wrap.

5. Step

Remove the dough from the refrigerator and let rest at room temperature for a few minutes. Then, on a lightly floured surface, roll out the cookie dough with a rolling pin until it is half a centimetre thick.

6. Step

Dip cookie cutters in a little flour and cut out shapes from the dough. Bake the cookies for 12 minutes in a preheated oven at 180 °C.

7. Step

Let cool completely on a wire rack.

8. Step

Sift the powdered sugar into a large bowl and add the salt.

9. Step

On one side of the bowl, add the vanilla and egg whites.

10. Step

Mix the powdered sugar into the liquids while continuing to whisk.

11. Step

Add food colouring, if desired. You can divide the frosting into smaller bowls to get more than one colour.

12. Step

Decorate the cookies as desired. Enjoy!
