1. Step

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.

In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.

Add the butter, milk, and vanilla extract to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat on high speed until creamy.

4 Gradually add flour mixture to the wet ingredients, alternating with the egg whites, mixing on low speed.

Gently fold in the crushed blueberries with a spatula.

Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared cake pans.
