Homemade Steamed Pork Vegetable Dim Sims
Steamed dim sims are a popular food item in Chinese cuisine. These tasty dumplings are packed with a juicy filling made of minced meat and finely chopped vegetables. They are then encased in a delicate pastry wrapper and steamed until soft and tender. Serve these delicious dim sims with some soy sauce or chili sauce for a satisfying appetizer or side dish.
Ingredients
- 200 gms of ground pork
- 150 gms of finely chopped cabbage
- 1 medium sized carrot, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, finely chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon of soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon of sesame oil
- salt and pepper to taste
- 1 pack of dim sim wrappers
- A small bowl of water for sealing the wrappers

Directions
In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, chopped cabbage, carrot, green onions and garlic.
Add in the soy sauce, sesame oil, salt and pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are evenly distributed.
Take a dim sim wrapper and spoon a small amount of the mixture onto the center.
Dip your fingers in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper over the filling, pinching the edges to seal it.
Repeat the process until all the filling is used.
Arrange the dim sims in a steamer, ensuring they don’t touch each other to prevent them from sticking together.
Cover the steamer and steam for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until the dumplings are fully cooked.
Allow the dim sims to cool for a couple of minutes before serving.
