Homemade rice pudding recipe
Rice pudding is a beloved dessert in homes all over Spain and Latin America. It is very easy to make, and with just a few ingredients.
Ingredients
- 100 g rice
- 1 l milk
- lemon and orange peel
- 1 cinnamon stick
- cinnamon powder
- 70 g sugar
- 10 g butter

Directions
Put the milk, rice, citrus peel and cinnamon stick in a saucepan.
Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly.
When it is hot, leave to cook. Stir every five minutes, so that the rice pudding does not stick together and the starch is released. This will make it creamier.
After 45 minutes, add the sugar.
Leave to cook for a further 10 minutes, until the rice is very soft.
Turn off the heat and add the butter.
Remove the fruits peel and cinnamon stick. Then mix well and leave to cool, stirring every five minutes.
Put the warm rice pudding into individual bowls and garnish with a cinnamon stick.
Sprinkle with a little ground cinnamon for the finishing touch. Eat and enjoy the best rice pudding you have ever tasted!
