Homemade Old-Fashioned Licorice AllSorts Cookies
Delight in the fusion of your favorite licorice allsorts candy in a cookie form. Experience the sweetness and slight bitterness of licorice combined with the classic taste of butter cookies. Perfect for any occasion, these cookies will take you to a trip down memory lane with each bite.
Ingredients
- 250 g unsalted butter, softened
- 150 g sugar
- 1 yolk
- 350 g all-purpose flour, sifted
- pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 Cup finely chopped licorice allsorts candy

Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and line your baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until it becomes light and fluffy.
Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract, and mix well until fully incorporated.
Gradually add the sifted flour and a pinch of salt. Stir until the dough starts to come together.
Fold in the finely chopped licorice allsorts candy. Ensure it is evenly spread throughout the dough.
Roll out the dough to a thickness of around 1 cm, and use a cookie cutter to cut out your desired shapes.
