Chop the onion and garlic. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Put the garlic and onion in the slow cooker for a few minutes, then remove them. Put the chicken in, and after five minutes add the onion, garlic, and enough water to cover the meat. Also add bay leaves, pepper, and oregano. Cook for 7 hours.
