Delicious pork chops in sauce
The preparation of pork chops in sauce is a recipe I learned years ago from my grandmother. I remember how the aroma of the pork cooking in the sauce filled the whole house and made my mouth water. It is a simple and very tasty recipe, ideal for a family meal on a Sunday. The best thing is that it is a dish that you can adjust to your taste, adding more or less seasonings and controlling the texture of the sauce.

- 1 chopped onion

Directions
We begin by seasoning the chops with salt and pepper. But be careful with the amount, remember that the tomato sauce already has some salt, we do not want them to be too salty.
Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat and when hot, add the chops and brown them on both sides. It is not necessary to cook them completely in this step, we are only looking for that nice golden color.
Once browned, remove the chops from the pan and set aside. In the same oil, add the onion and chopped garlic. It is important to do this in the same oil to take advantage of the flavors left by the chops.
When the onion is translucent, add the white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate for a couple of minutes over medium-high heat.
Add the tomato sauce, bay leaf, thyme and paprika. Stir all the ingredients well and cook over low heat for about 10-15 minutes. This is the time to taste and adjust salt if necessary.
Return the chops to the pan, making sure they are well coated with the sauce. Cook over medium-low heat for about 20-30 minutes, or until the chops are cooked through.
Serve the chops with a little sauce on top. You can complement with white rice or steamed vegetables.
