Classic Aussie Sausage Sizzle recipe

Ingredients
- 6 sausages
- 1 large onion
- 2 tablespoon vegetable oil
- salt
- pepper
- 6 bread rolls
- Ketchup or BBQ sauce

Directions
Preheat your barbecue or grill to medium heat.
In a large skillet or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook for 5 minutes until soft.
Push the onions to one side of the skillet and add the sausages. Cook the sausages for approximately 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned and cooked.
While the sausages are cooking, prepare the rolls by slicing them open lengthwise, leaving one side attached.
Once the sausages are cooked, remove them from the heat and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any excess grease.
To assemble the sausage sizzle, place a cooked sausage in each roll. Top with a generous amount of caramelized onions. You can also add your desired condiments such as tomato sauce or mustard.
Serve the sausage sizzles immediately while they're still hot. Enjoy!
