Chinese honey soy chicken recipe

- 100 g maize starch
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 1 egg
- Chinese rice wine

- 4 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon light soy sauce
- 2 tablespoon sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoon cornstarch dissolved in water
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 a piece ginger

Directions
Cut the chicken into pieces. Put in a bowl and add light soy sauce, white pepper, egg and Chinese rice wine.
Mix well. Cover and leave in the fridge for 20 minutes.
Chop the garlic and ginger.
Dissolve the cornflour with water in a small bowl and set aside.
Mix the wheat flour with the cornflour.
Coat the chicken in the flour.
Fry the chicken in plenty of vegetable oil over medium heat for 5 minutes. Remove to a wire rack and leave to rest for a couple of minutes.
Fry again. This time over high heat until the chicken is golden brown and crispy.
In a frying pan, add some of the oil and sauté the garlic and ginger.
Add the water, honey, light soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, salt, and cornstarch dissolved in water and stir well.
Add the fried chicken and sauté quickly until the sauce coats the chicken well.
Serve immediately. Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top and it is ready to eat.
