Chicken breast with cheese and sour cream

This chicken breast with cheese and cream is one of my favourite dishes any day of the week. I have made it countless times and I think it is simply brilliant. The great thing about it is that it's quick to make, the ingredients are simple and easy to get. It always turns out delicious and my family loves it.

Directions

1. Step

First, salt and pepper the chicken breasts using one of your favourite seasoning techniques. Personally, I always rinse them in water before salting and peppering them, so that the salt and pepper stick to them better.

2. Step

Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the chicken breasts. Fry them over a medium heat on both sides until golden brown. It is important not to overcook or the meat will be dry.

3. Step

While the meat is cooking, mix the sour cream and grated cheese in a bowl. I always add a little more salt and pepper here to give it more character.

4. Step

When both sides of the chicken breast are nicely cooked, coat with the sour cream and cheese mixture. I usually use a spoon to spoon the mixture over the chicken to spread it evenly.

5. Step

Place the pan in the oven and bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is nice and golden brown.

6. Step

Serve the chicken breast with a sprinkle of fresh chopped parsley. I usually make a vegetable side dish, but it's also delicious with rice and pasta.
