Authentic Lebanese Tabouli Salad Recipe
Tabouli is a traditional Middle Eastern salad made with bulgur wheat, fresh herbs, and a tang dressing, always refreshing and bursting with flavor. This dish is perfect as a side dish or a lunch option.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup bulgur wheat
- 2 cups boiling water
- 1 volume fresh parsley, finely
- 1⁄2 volume fresh mint leaves, finely
- 3 tomatoes, diced
- 1 cucumber, diced
- 1⁄2 red bell pepper, diced
- Juice of two lemons
- 3 tbls olive oil
- salt and pepper

Directions
Put the bulgur wheat in a bowl and pour in the water. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it sit for about 15 minutes until the wheat is tender.
Fluff bulgur wheat with a fork and let it cool to room temperature.
3 Add the chopped parsley, mint, tomatoes, cucumber, and pepper to the bowl of bulgur. Mix well to combine.
In a separate small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and pepper.
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss gently to coat all the ingredients.
Adjust the seasoning with more lemon juice, salt, or pepper if needed.
Let the tabouli sit for at least 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve chilled or at room temperature. Enjoy!
