American Sloppy Joe hot dog recipe

Sloppy Joe
- 600 g minced beef meat
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 1 green paprika
- 2 cloves garlic
- 2 teaspoon mustard
- 2 tablespoon brown sugar
- Worcestershire
- 75 ml bbq sauce
- 100 ml beer
- 150 ml tomato passata
- olive oil
- BBQ
- salt
- ground black pepper
- Salt Pepper
- chili pepper
Cheese sauce
- 1 tablespoon self-rising flour
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 300 ml milk
- 250 g grated Cheddar cheese
Hot Dog
- 3 big hot dog buns
- 3 beef sausages or Frankfurter sausages

Directions
Season the ground beef with the BBQ RUB, alternatively with salt and pepper. Form three burger patties and let them rest for a short time.

Sauté the onion and peppers gently in a little olive oil over medium heat.

Grill the shaped patties on both sides. Then, add the meat to the vegetables in the pan and chop it up properly.

Add the garlic, mustard, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, BBQ sauce, beer and crushed tomatoes. Now mix everything well and then simmer very gently on low heat for a good 30 minutes.

Melt the butter in a saucepan and add flour until a roux has formed- Then, add the milk to get a nice béchamel.

Add the grated cheddar to the béchamel and stir constantly to create a creamy cheese sauce. Season with spices of your choice
