Penne with basil pesto

Tasty and quick penne with basil pesto that you have on the table in 30 minutes.

  • 2 handfuls fresh basil Added to
  • 50 g pine nuts Added to
  • 2 cloves garlic Added to
  • 150 g Parmesan cheese Added to
  • 125 ml olive oil Added to
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper for seasoning Added to

1. Step

Cook penne pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Do not forget to set aside some of the cooking water to use later to achieve the right consistency of the pesto.

2. Step

While the penne is cooking, combine the basil, pine nuts, garlic, parmesan, olive oil, salt and pepper in a blender. Blend until a smooth paste is formed.

3. Step

Stir the blended pesto into the cooked and drained pasta. If the pesto is too thick, add a little water from cooking the pasta until you reach the desired consistency.
