1. Step
Slice the ginger into thin slices.

Put the ginger into a large glass or bottle.

Add sugar and pour the vodka.

Tightly close the cup or bottle and shake it so that the sugar dissolves.

Leave it in a dark, cool place for at least 2 weeks so that the flavors can combine.

Then strain it through a fine sieve or cheesecloth and pour it back into the original bottle.
